I am William from Walla Walla, Washington, a sophomore here at The Thacher School. I first found out about the School when my sister was applying here. After visiting a few times, I started to love the school, and the time I spent there. When I was touring other boarding schools, my love and appreciation for Thacher just grew and grew.

Like best about Thacher:
the sense of community

Math, because of the amazing (and funny!) teacher

People at Thacher who’ve influenced me:
The people at Thacher are great. They’re kind and considerate and they are always there—for anything, for everything.

Advice for kids considering boarding school, or Thacher:
Look at each school’s social structure carefully. Many of the schools have similar academics—but your real interface to the school is the people in the community.

great so far. After the first few days last year, which were difficult (but now distant!), I have been having a great and challenging time.
