Hi! My name is Sean, I live in Pomona, CA about two hours north of Thacher. I arrived at Thacher as Freshman and am now Junior. I was introduced to Thacher by a program called A Better Chance, which assisted students of color in applying to secondary schools all across America. Since then, I haven’t looked back!

What I like best about living/studying at Thacher: Beside the sense of community which all the students and faculty share, I love the horse program and how it is one of the major facets which makes Thacher unique.

My favorite class is:
Environmental Science because it has enlightened and allowed me to look at my surroundings with new eyes.

People at Thacher—peers, schoolmates, faculty, staff, others—who have influenced me positively and how:
The community filled with positively charged people continues to make each day I’m at Thacher a great one!

Advice for someone thinking about going away to school or specifically coming to Thacher:
Take advantage of all the opportunities set before you.
