Holiday (in October) !

At Thacher, we donʻt celebrate national holidays by taking a day off from classes. Instead, we have our own holidays throughout the year, usually one for each trimester and extra for the birth of faculty babies. Our first one this year was announced on last Mondayʻs assembly by Mr. Huyler singing "Holiday..!" The first holiday is usually the day before or after Halloween, so that we are able to have a Halloween themed dance with assigned dates and go trick-or-treating around to the faculty homes. Itʻs a great way to relieve the academic tension that builds up from eight weeks of hard work.
