Well, here we are. Another awesome start to what I’m positive will be an unforgettable year. I look forward to junior year knowing that I will be given opportunities to demonstrate maturity and responsibility, and that many more chances will arise to demonstrate my lack thereof. I wait with eager anticipation.

My horse camping trip was a blast. We went with awesome group of kids and an inspiring trip leader. I captained the trip, and though we encountered some problems along the way, I’m sure we will all remember the experience. Even when you haven’t had food for 12 hours and you’re freezing because you lost your sleeping bag along with your other supplies down the side of a mountain, you’re still comforted by the fact that you’re sharing the experience with friends.

Classes have started and I have some of the best teachers I’ve ever had in my life. I look forward to each and every one of my classes. After two years at Thacher, I know how to work when I have to and I know how to not think about work when having fun. I look at junior year as an opportunity to have fun with new privileges and a chance to strengthen myself with new challenges every day.
