Belonging/Community

Last Friday a group of us junior boys got together and went into Ventura to see a movie. Then while driving back, I began to think about how this was all part of Thacher's excellent community.

I can honestly say that the community at Thacher is unlike anywhere else. I imagine that no one can claim that they have a whole school on their side urging them succeed. The sense of community at Thacher is beyond remarkable, as we only have about 250 members. Here, you’re not some faceless student but rather an interesting and bright young individual. I doubt that there are many places in the world that are as caring, generous and understanding as this community. Everyone here is able to be themselves, which can only help you grow.
