I just finished having the two craziest weeks here at Thacher. The first of those weeks was finals week, and that includes working last minute to turn in projects on Tuesday, and having the rest of the week to study for math and English exams on Saturday. This is a different schedule than last year. Last year, when we were in a semester system, we had long exams for every class in a span of two days, while this year we have two exams on one day. I like the new trimesters a lot better because I do not have to study for so many exams so I can concentrate on the ones I need to. The downside was, I had to work on projects the week before and they took up a lot of my time from studying.
No matter how stressful that week was, I had my eye on the prize: Thanksgiving break. One week free of academic pressure, and time management, one week where the only stress lies in how you tell your family that you just want to sleep. However, that one week goes by so fast that before you know it, you’re on the plane back “home.” It’s not too bad coming back after Thanksgiving break, because in only three weeks, I will be back home--that is, New Jersey--for the long holiday break.
