My name’s Alex, and I am a senior who splits family time between Seattle and Malibu. I eagerly enrolled as a freshman because of my brother, Peter, and his experiences here.

Like best about Thacher:
the sense of community, dorm life, the beautiful location.

Favorite classes:
English and History, because of the insight I gain after analysis and in-class discussion.

Influences in my life here:
Thacher’s a community in which everyone has an influence upon you, ranging from the dining hall staff at breakfast to your teachers during the day, to your prefect checking you in at night.

Advice for kids considering boarding school or Thacher:
Be sure to spend an overnight here when you’re deciding.

My experience here has been…
one of well balanced growth, a synthesis of indelible bonds formed with friends, new sports experiences (lacrosse and riding), increasing moral awareness, intellectual maturation.
