My name is Alex and I’m from Manchester Massachusetts. I’m a sophomore here at Thacher and I found out about the School from Mr. McMahon, the director of admissions, who was my summer camp director.

What I like best about living/studying at Thacher:
My favorite class is/classes are Math and English because I love the teaching I get in both of those classes. I have felt a huge improvement in my problem solving techniques and my creative and analytical writing.

People at Thacher—peers, schoolmates, faculty, staff, others—who have influenced me positively and how?
The teachers and my peers. My teachers have become my friends and have raised my passion for learning with every lesson. My peers have provided a relaxed but studious atmosphere that everyone in my dorm can appreciate.

Advice for someone thinking about going away to school or specifically coming to Thacher:
Don’t feel like your leaving home, feel like you are going to your new home.
