The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

It is that special end of the year again when we are approaching finals and Christmas break, both very exciting. It is always good to take a break after working hard. Everyone here is constantly busy with homework, sports, riding, independents, music lessons, plays; Thacher does a good job of keeping you running! After finals are done, there seems to be a huge weight lifted off your shoulders. You go to break without worrying about school and when you come back there is a new semester and a new year 2006!

I am personally looking forward to break because my birthday falls during it! I’m turning 16 and I will get my license which is very exciting for me, (but maybe a little scary for my parents).

Another thing that’s great about vacation is that when you come back to Thacher, everyone looks different, new and refreshed. You get to start not only a new year but also a new semester. I am thrilled for soccer and lacrosse. We will be playing our first soccer game after break and I can hardly wait!! We have awesome coaches—Ms. Breau and Mr. Babbott. Our JV Soccer team will be great this year, I’m sure.
